Step-by-Step Repair

    Check the input source

    Make sure the TV is set to the correct HDMI input. Press the Source/Input button on your remote and select the HDMI port your device is connected to. TVs often have 2-4 HDMI ports.

    Reseat the HDMI cable

    Unplug the HDMI cable from both the TV and the source device. Wait 10 seconds. Plug it back in firmly on both ends. A slightly loose connection is one of the most common HDMI issues.

    Try a different HDMI cable

    Swap to a different HDMI cable. Cables can fail internally even without visible damage. Use a High Speed or Ultra High Speed HDMI cable for 4K content.
