Remove and inspect the turntable tray
Take out the glass tray and the roller ring underneath it. Check if the glass tray is cracked or warped. Look at the roller ring — are any wheels broken or stuck? Clean the wheels and the track they sit in with warm soapy water. Food buildup is the most common cause.

Check the drive coupler
The coupler is the small plastic piece in the center of the floor that connects the motor to the tray. Pull it off and inspect it. If the tabs are worn down, stripped, or broken, the tray won't turn even though the motor works. This is a $3-$10 part.

Test the turntable motor
Put everything back, plug in the microwave, and start it. Look through the door at the coupler — is it trying to turn? If the coupler spins but the tray doesn't, the coupler needs replacing. If nothing moves at all, the motor is dead.

Replace the turntable motor if needed
Unplug the microwave. Flip it on its side or back (carefully). Remove the bottom panel screws. The turntable motor is a small round motor attached to the floor of the cavity. Disconnect the wire harness, remove the mounting screws, and swap in the new motor. Reassemble and test.
